May 23: “Non-linear response in real-time Holography” by Christiana Pantelidou

Abstract: In this talk I will discuss the nonlinear response of a holographic medium under scalar forcing, focusing on retarded scalar three-point functions at finite temperature. I will start by reviewing the Skenderis-van Rees approach to real-time holography and then prove that this construction is equivalent to imposing ingoing boundary conditions on a single copy of a black hole spacetime. Finally, I will show numerical results for the three-point function of interest, displaying single and higher-order poles associated to resonant QNMs.
