Title:
New results on turbulence and dissipation in holographic superfluids

Abstract:
We present new results on non-equilibrium dynamics and turbulence in holographic superfluids during relaxation from far-from-equilibrium states containing various types of topological defects. We compute the real-time evolution of the system using a fast numerical implementation on large grids. Interactions of the defects, in particular of vortical excitations, are studied in detail and are used to characterize the strong dissipation of the system. Further, the dynamics of the superfluid is analyzed in terms of scaling behavior in the radial occupation number spectrum and signatures of different turbulent regimes are observed.
