To thrive in SPIN, students don’t need to be perfect particles, just the right combination of energy, momentum, and openness to interaction.
We like to think of the ideal student as:

<Where>
|Curiosity⟩ = a state of mind that constantly seeks to go beyond the syllabus.
|Engagement⟩ = readiness to learn through real-world research, not just theory.
|Growth⟩ = a drive to evolve both as a physicist and as a member of a scientific community.
|Inclusivity⟩ = commitment to building a respectful and diverse environment.
<Note>
All coefficients (α, β, γ, δ) must be non-zero—because at SPIN, every component matters.
Be a Thoughtist.

Undergraduates
You only need to have completed at least 40% of your Physics degree to start your SPIN—just enough momentum to escape the classroom and begin orbiting real research.

Master´s Students
Given the intense workload of the Master’s program, we strongly recommend that SPIN internships be carried out during the summer, when you’ll have more headspace to focus, explore, and make the most of the experience.
