Alternative cosmology with cosmic shear

“I present the power of upcoming cosmic shear surveys in discriminating between the concordance LCDM paradigm and alternative cosmological models. I show results for both so-called modified matter and modified gravity models. Specifically, I studied a class of scalar field cosmologies with unified dark matter and dark energy, a phenomenological extension of the well-known DGP brane world and two popular modified-action f(R) theories able to pass the Solar system gravity tests. I found that the next generation of cosmic shear experiment will be able of tightly constrain these models and their parameter and, in principle, discriminate between them and LCDM”.
