Siguiendo la estela de #YoFisica y #YouTubersPorUnDia, este año con motivo del 11F, Día Internacional de la Mujer y la Niña en la Ciencia, os proponemos un viaje a través del mundo de la física guiado por un buen número de científicas ilustres.
En las viñetas incluidas en esta Web os presentamos a varias científicas, cada una de ellas os propondrá un reto. En este documento os proporcionamos material para explorarlo y acompañarlas en su aventura. Con lo que averigüéis haced un cómic, un mural o un dibujo. Vuestra científica será protagonista con vosotr@s de la historia, ¡será divertido!
Segundo Encuentro de Grupos de Igualdad de centros CSIC
El Segundo Encuentro de Grupos de Igualdad de centros CSIC, organizado por el Instituto de Física Teórica (IFT UAM-CSIC), en coordinación con la Comisión Delegada de Igualdad y la Comisión Mujeres y Ciencia del CSIC, tendrá lugar el día 17 de noviembrede 2021 en el Salón de Actos del Centro de Física Teórica y Matemáticas (CFTMAT), localizado en el Campus de Excelencia UAM+CSIC en Madrid.
El Tren de la ciencia para en Atocha: la Noche del CSIC
En colaboración con el Programa Estación Abierta de Adif, los centros del Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC)del campus de Cantoblanco celebramos la Noche Europea de los Investigadores e Investigadoras y el Año Europeo del Ferrocarril. Estaremos en el Jardín Tropical de la estación de Atocha. Hay actividades abiertas al público general y familiar en horario de tarde (17:00-21:00) y otras dirigidas a centros educativos en horario de mañana e inicio de la tarde (10:00-16:00).
Results of the socio-economic survey at IFT
On April 2021 the IFT EDI committee launched an anonymous survey among permanent and non-permanent IFT researchers and PhD students to gauge how inequalities and other factors may affect the chances of reaching a doctorate level. The survey aimed to collect data concerning the cultural and socio-economic background of IFT members and draw an image of the impact of the socio-economic context in attaining the first steps required for a successful career in Academia.
Second EDI “online awareness & traning activity”
In this second event, we would like to bring your attention and raise a debate on the possible impact of the use of an inclusive language in science. We would like to suggest the reading of a published research that analyzes the impact of the use of gender-neutral pronouns.
The supermassive Black Hole at the center of our galaxy
Talk by Prof. Andrea Ghez, Physics Nobel Prize 2020, about her discovery of the existence of a supermassive black hole at the center of the Milky Way.
The talk is part of the Invisibles 2021 workshop, organized by the Horizon 2020 funded project HIDDeN, at IFT.

Outreach talk by Gabriela González, Professor of Physics and Astronomy at Louisiana State University , former spokeswoman and scientific leader of LIGO, the first experiment to detect Gravitational waves.
The talk takes place at the Invisibles21 Workshop organized by the Horizon 2020 funded project HIDDeN.

First EDI “online training activity”
As a complementary activity to the “ Sex and gender dimension in frontier research” the European Research Council provides free screening of the film “Picture a scientist”. The film is a documentary on women scientists providing new perspectives on how to make research more diverse, and equitable to all genders.
