M\u00e1s all\u00e1 de los aspectos puramente cient\u00edficos, el ponente dedic\u00f3 tambi\u00e9n parte de su charla a reflexionar sobre la <strong>sociolog\u00eda de la ciencia<\/strong>, subrayando los retos que enfrentan las teor\u00edas no ortodoxas para ser reconocidas dentro de la comunidad acad\u00e9mica.<\/p>\n\n    <p>La sesi\u00f3n cont\u00f3 con una <strong>gran acogida<\/strong>, con m\u00e1s de <strong>100 personas presentes en la sala<\/strong> y otro centenar siguiendo la retransmisi\u00f3n en directo. Este inter\u00e9s refleja no solo el creciente entusiasmo que despiertan los <strong>Coloquios DIFT<\/strong> entre la comunidad universitaria y cient\u00edfica, sino tambi\u00e9n la admiraci\u00f3n por el trabajo de <strong>\u00c1lvaro De R\u00fajula<\/strong>, a quien agradecemos profundamente su dedicaci\u00f3n y su pasi\u00f3n por transmitir la ciencia.<\/p>\n  <\/div>\n\n  <!-- English -->\n  <div id=\"content-en-rujula\" style=\"display:none;\">\n    <h2 style=\"color:#004a87; font-size:1.8rem; margin-bottom:16px;\">DIFT Colloquium: \u00c1lvaro De R\u00fajula<\/h2>\n\n    <p>On <strong>Thursday, October 16<\/strong>, the <strong>Institute for Theoretical Physics (IFT)<\/strong> and the <strong>Department of Theoretical Physics of the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM)<\/strong> held a new edition of the <em>DIFT Colloquia<\/em> in the <strong>Multipurpose Hall<\/strong> at Plaza Mayor, from <strong>15:30 to 17:00<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n    <p>The talk, entitled <em>\u201cGamma-Ray Bursts, Cosmic Rays and the Sociology of Science\u201d<\/em>, was delivered by <strong>\u00c1lvaro De R\u00fajula<\/strong>, a distinguished physicist at the <strong>IFT<\/strong> and the <strong>CERN<\/strong>, who offered a presentation that was as thought-provoking as it was rigorous.<\/p>\n\n    <p>During his lecture, De R\u00fajula presented his interpretation based on the <em>\u201cCannonballs\u201d (CBs)<\/em> model \u2014highly relativistic plasma spheres emitted by quasars, microquasars and core-collapse supernovae\u2014 offering an alternative explanation to the conventional view of these astrophysical phenomena. Beyond the scientific aspects, he also reflected on the <strong>sociology of science<\/strong>, highlighting the challenges that non-orthodox theories face to gain acceptance within the academic community.<\/p>\n\n    <p>The session was <strong>widely attended<\/strong>, with more than <strong>100 participants on site<\/strong> and about as many following the live broadcast.
